Faculty Timeline

clock with diverse people holding hands around itThis timeline takes into account the development and implementation of our faculty train-the-trainer curriculum at our particular institution. You may find that implementation will take more or less time given considerations including departmental support, faculty recruitment, and scheduling.

If you plan to use our process to develop your own cases and materials:

    • January: Work with Simulation Center to block dates and times for 1 faculty simulation and schedule faculty train-the-trainer session.
    • January: Begin Faculty recruitment.
    • March: Begin faculty focus groups to support case development.
    • April: Develop and refine cases as informed by focus groups.
    • May: Select and train actors.
    • May: Pilot cases with graduating residents.

Timeline June-Dec

  • June: Further refine cases based on pilot data. Select and train new actors if needed.
  • July: Complete faculty Train-the-Trainer curriculum.
  • August-October: Complete resident simulations with faculty facilitators.
  • November-January: Complete follow-up focus groups if desired.

If you plan to use our materials as written:

timeline Jan-Dec
